So•ma Cranial Sacral Therapy for Tufts University

Within every living person is “the breath of life,” a very real, silent force that moves in soft rhythms throughout the Cranial sacral system. This nourishing energy also travels beyond that system to inspire and give balance to your body, mind, and spirit.

When your well being is compromised, however, the “breath of life” can become trapped or stagnant, manifesting as pain, illness, stress, and other physical or emotional challenges.

"Hi my name is Soma Peterson. I'm a registered nurse and a Certified Cranial Sacral Therapist. Cranial Sacral is a subtle but potent hands-on modality that has its foundations in osteopathy(1), so we're working with the bones to create change in how the central nervous system is functioning, or working with that area around the central nervous system and bringing more harmony and balance there.
"The applications are many but they might include migraines headaches, sinus issues, TMJ or problems with the jaw, as well as chronic neck pain, back pain, and fibromyalgia. Those are just a few.
"I also practice aroma touch which is a very soothing, relaxing treatment that taps the power of essential oils for your health. I encourage you to give it a try. The duo together is very amazing and powerful. You can check out my website(3) and make an appointment there, or you're welcome to call me, come in and give it a try. Let's meet!"

Tufts University, Cranialsacral Therapy

Cranialsacral therapy is a gentle, yet powerful hands-on approach for restoring connectivity in the body.

It targets pain, stress, and any “blockages” within cranialsacral-based systems to release tension, restore balance, and inspire optimum health and performance.

The number of cranialsacral treatments recommended for patients vary according to the issue being treated. Acute injuries or diseases often require as little as two to six treatments. However, chronic conditions and diseases require more time to shift patterns and create a more balanced state.

I'm a registered nurse and certified cranial sacral therapist, and my practice is located at 1029 May St, Hood River, Oregon.
